Carolina Bassers
Badin Lake Tournament March 19, 2005

Tourney Rundown
The second tournament of the year proved once again that you must know the "Hot Spots". The weather cooperated fairly well, but fishing proved tough except for a handful of anglers who found the honey holes.

Gerald Rhodes topped the field in First Place with a big sack of 4 fish weighing 12.56 lbs. A close Second Place went to Ron Johnson with 4 fish weighing 11.11 lbs. Third Place was awarded to his partner Ricky Mozingo with 3 fish weighing 8.73 lbs. Fourth Place was earned by David Haraway with 1 healthy fish weighing 5.84 lbs. Finally, Fifth Place went to Kevin Matthews with 1 fish weighing 4.90 lbs.

The youth showed up in force, but the tough bite took it's toll with no participants weighing in. Several youth caught fish, but most were just short of the 14" limit.

The "Lucky Dog" award goes to Gerald Rhodes who was the lucky recipient of "Hot Spot" information from James Hurr. Right after launch, James started taking on water in his boat and had to return to dry land for repairs. Being the selfless person he is, he decided to pass on to Gerald all of his key "Hot Spots" so that at least someone could benefit. Rumor has it that James now has a "Free Pizza for Life" coupon valid at any Domino's location.
