Carolina Bassers
Harris Tournament May 14, 2005

Tourney Rundown
The Carolina Bassers fished close to home for their fifth tournament of the season.  The "Slot Limit" of 16 - 20 inches proved to be the demise of most of the anglers fishing.  The fishing was fair, however most anglers reported having to throw back at least a couple the "Slot" fish apiece.  The primary patterns revolved around the emergent vegetation known as "Primrose".  Some anglers also reported sight fishing as their strategy.

Ricky Mozingo took top honors with 3 fish weighing 6.70 lbs, anchored by a 4.85 lb over the slot fish.  James Hurr took big fish honors with a 5.32 lb lunker, spoiling the sweep by Mozingo.

The club's youth also battled the slot limit, with three talented anglers managing to weigh fish.  Tyler Teer won his second straight tourney of the season, and is now the current youth points leader.  Joey Gwyn claimed big fish by 1/100th of a pound over second place angler Timmy Baker with a solid 1.87 lb chunk.
