Carolina Bassers
High Rock Lake Tournament September 10, 2005

Tourney Rundown
The clubs 10th tourney of the season proved to be a test of finding a few “keeper” bites, with no anglers weighing a limit of fish.   Most anglers reported catching at least a few short fish adding to the frustration level of most of the competitors.  Some new faces rose to the occasion and managed to get the key “keeper” bites needed.  Fishing in his first C.B. tourney Dave Johnston was the closest to weighing a limit with 4 weighing in at 9.40 lbs, anchored by a healthy 3.86 lb largemouth.  Dave handily took the top spot, as well as big fish honors, beating his nearest competitor by over 4 lbs.  Paul Shenep finished runner-up with 3 fish weighing 4.97 lbs.  This is Paul’s highest C.B. tourney finish since joining the club.  Rounding out the top three was Herb McCarrick with two healthy fish weighing 4.37 lbs.

7 of the clubs youth tested there skills in this tough tourney.  Nick Bell earned bragging rights with the only bass weighed in on the youth side weighing 2.27 lbs.
