Carolina Bassers
Lake Norman Tournament October 22, 2005

Tourney Rundown
The final Carolina Bassers tourney held on Lake Norman shaped up to be quite a shootout for anglers vying for the “Angler of the Year” title and the 12 coveted spots for the regional next April.  Lake Norman and its growing population of healthy spotted bass did not disappoint, with most anglers weighing fish.  Frontal and post frontal conditions added to the challenge to find quality bites.  Gerald “Pizza Guy” Rhodes was up to the challenge, winning day one with a respectable limit of fish weighing 10.71 lbs.  Angler of the Year (AOY) candidate Ron Johnson finished second with a solid limit weighing 8.48 lbs, closing the gap on front runner Ricky Mozingo who finished with 6.49 lbs.  Day two was definitely shaping up to be a slugfest between the 2 AOY hopefuls!
