Carolina Bassers
Kerr Tournament June 24, 2007

Tourney Rundown

The Carolina Bassers fished their 6th tourney of the season at Kerr Lake.  With storm fronts the day before and blue bird skies for the day, it looked to be a hard day of fishing.  Moreover, it showed in the numbers. With 38 participants (adult 30, youth 8), 36 weighed in fish and 8 with five fish limits.  The weights dropped with everybody except 1 person and can you guess who that would be?  Oh yes Mr. Darden took first again and with a nice bag of fish, 13.91.  Allen also brought in the tourney’s big bass on day 2 with 4.93 lbs.  Allen took his fish with cranks.  Second went to Mike Bently with 9.86 using Senko’s again.  A close third went to Hume Hawkins with 9.82 using top water and Texas rig.  Fourth went to Ron Johnson with 9.34 using Carolina rig.  And fifth went to Bob Cunningham with 8.72 using Carolina rig.

The youths had a tight 2-4th place, but Nick Bell took first with 5.42 on Texas rig.  Second went to Joey Gwyn with 4.71 on Texas rig and top water.  Joey also had big fish for the youth with 3.23.  A close third went to Tyler Teer with 4.55, on Senko and Carolina rig.  And close fourth was Breanna Everly weighing in 4.43, on a Senko.  Good job to all youth members.
